Atelier W undertook the design for this 5 Star luxury hotel with two goals; to provide supremely comfortable accommodation where guests feel familiar and welcome, and to appear minimalist and modern without alienating visitors. To achieve this, the design incorporated regional timbers and work by local artisans with a modern twist, and made reference to the cultural context without attempting to replicate it. 

 

Situated in the heart of a busy Malaysian city, the design presents guests with the relaxed atmosphere of a beachside resort, while providing the amenity of an inner city hotel.
